One of the unique features of Raffles colleges is that its faculty members, besides local members, also hail from different parts of the world. This provides our students the opportunity to learn to interact with people of different nationalities and build their ability to adapt. In part, it is a form of training our students to be future ready – meaning to be mobile and adaptable.
Another feature of Raffles colleges is that students are given both practical training as well as industrial exposure. The labs and workshops are equipped with industry standard machines. Even the various softwares that they learn are the same ones used by the industry.
In addition, part of the Raffles education is to enable students to have the opportunity to have industry links. These include seminars, field trips (both local and international) as well as internships.
All these opportunities and training serve to make the Raffles graduate to be a well-rounded and skilled professional, ready for the industry and for the future. That is the distinct advantage of a Raffles education!

From 1 December 2004, we underwent a change of name from ‘Raffles LaSalle Limited’ to ‘Raffles Education Corporation Limited’ to better position the Group for larger market opportunities. In conjunction with the change of name, Raffles LaSalle Colleges have since been rebranded as Raffles Design Institute in and around the region.
The profile of lecturers comprises professionally trained experts in the design industries from all over the world – USA, England, Australia, France, Canada, Singapore and the Asian region.
